Cleanroom tablets with stainless steel housing, 4K camera, and RFID reader
IP69 and GMP compliant
Modern work environments are increasingly less characterized by stationary setups. Those who want to bring the advantages of a mobile workspace into the cleanroom can do so effortlessly with the CT13S series from CAITRON GmbH. With lightweight stainless steel cases including integrated card readers, charging docks, and comprehensive camera functionality, CAITRON sets an exemplary standard for mobile Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) in hygiene-sensitive rooms.
The CT13S series is technically based on Microsoft's Surface Pro 9 Plus tablet. For its device housings, CAITRON relies exclusively on fully in-house developed solutions. The company specializes in touch HMI systems in cleanrooms up to GMP Class A/B for applications in hygienically demanding production environments and manufactures its systems exclusively in Germany. Many companies in the pharmaceutical industry already trust the quality and reliability of CAITRON's cleanroom HMIs and their robust housings.
The housing of the CT13S series consists of a fully enclosed stainless steel shell, free of edges and dead spaces, and resistant to industry-standard cleaning and disinfectant agents. This ensures efficient cleaning over many charging cycles. Data transfer is carried out via an innovative GMP-compliant magnetic connector of the USB-C type. The devices are dust- and water-resistant according to IP69 standards and meet the requirements for GMP production areas. This combines Windows PC functionality with the advantages of mobile devices, making the tablets ideal for a variety of industrial cleanroom applications.
RFID card reader, charging dock, and unrestricted camera functionality
The CAITRON tablets of the CT13S series stand out primarily with an integrated RFID card reader, an innovative charging dock, and unrestricted camera functionality. "With the CT13S series, we have succeeded in bringing the classic mobility advantages of a tablet into cleanroom environments," says Andreas Hirt, CEO of CAITRON GmbH. "We highlight these advantages especially by making our tablets highly practical through several add-ons. With the integrated RFID card reader, no external device is needed for login processes via transponder media. The new charging dock also eliminates the tedious removal of protective caps. At the same time, we designed the device so that users can fully utilize both the front and rear cameras despite the stainless steel housing. The 10-megapixel rear camera even allows 4K videos. This makes the tablet ideal, among other things, for high-resolution image and video documentation, such as sampling procedures."
Numerous input and ergonomic options
The optional stainless steel carrying handle for the housing of the CT13S series is particularly practical. It makes transporting the device from one workstation to another especially comfortable. The tablets can be operated with cleanroom gloves as well as with a stylus. Additionally, they can be coupled with peripheral systems such as keyboards, mice, or barcode scanners. As supplementary components, special wall mounts and docks are available.
Optional services
For companies with Microsoft enterprise agreements, there is the possibility to procure the Surface Pro tablets independently under their agreed favorable framework contract conditions. CAITRON then handles their conversion for cleanroom use.
