The importance of automation in cleanrooms and laboratories is steadily increasing. More and more technical products place high demands on technical cleanliness during their manufacturing. As a result, an increasing number of manufacturers and integrators face the challenge of relocating automated processes into cleanrooms and thus also the conveyor technology used.

Manufacturing processes in micromechanics or in the production of electronic and optical devices, as well as in the production of batteries and fuel cells, are sensitive. They are usually carried out in cleanrooms or mini-environments of cleanroom classes 5-9, according to ISO standard 14644. The mk Technology Group focuses on these cleanroom classes and adapts its conveyor technology to the required cleanroom concept. Thanks to many years of experience, mk optimizes its belt or timing belt conveyors specifically for use in cleanrooms, ensuring minimal particle emissions and easy cleaning. For example, in 2015, a cleanroom belt conveyor GUF-R 2000 received certification for cleanroom class 4 from the Fraunhofer IPA.

Based on application-specific requirements, the experts at mk develop the appropriate conveyor technology concept — following the principle of technical cleanliness "as clean as necessary" and thus cost-effective. mk draws on a broad wealth of experience from implemented solutions.

The mk Technology Group has its own cleanroom, which continuously enhances its expertise in cleanroom conveyor technology. The conveyors can be delivered hermetically sealed after commissioning (with documented decay curve) and final cleaning. This ensures quick commissioning in the customer's cleanroom. Additionally, individual testing and certification of the conveyors by an independent testing institute is possible.

Advantages of mk cleanroom conveyors

– Thoughtful, cleaning-optimized, and proven designs with adapted components.
– Certifiable by the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology and Automation IPA (preferred partner of mk) or a testing laboratory according to customer specifications.
– Design of the conveyor technology tailored to the existing cleanroom strategy.
– Adjustable and compatible through mk profile system's cleanroom profiles.
– Many years of experience and know-how of mk experts, not least through their own cleanroom.
– Delivery of conveyors cleaned and sealed, making them ready for use in the cleanroom quickly.
