In science and research, a clean environment plays an increasingly important role. The Spetec cleanroom station "CleanBoy" brings cleanliness exactly to the workplace where it is needed. Cleanliness in the technical sense means classified cleanroom conditions. These are becoming more and more necessary.

The module of the CleanBoy is equipped with an H14 type filter. The H14 filter is capable of retaining 99.995% of all particles larger than 0.5 µm. For smaller particles (< 0.12 µm), the retention rate is still 99.95%. Here, the isolation factor is 103, meaning the air quality under the module is improved by a factor of 1,000 compared to the environment. For larger particles (> 0.5 µm), an improvement of up to 90,000 times can even be achieved. At an airflow velocity of 0.45 m/sec, the airflow becomes laminar, i.e., the air flows in parallel streamlines downward.

Another factor is the acquisition and operating costs of a cleanroom system. A complete cleanroom cannot be purchased for every application, as they involve high costs.
