Cleanroom Ring South: System Solution and Future Perspective Cleanroom

Motivation

The cleanroom is a system that only functions effectively when considered as a whole, and its subsystems must be well coordinated. Especially in GMP-regulated environments, an interdisciplinary view of the cleanroom system throughout its entire lifecycle—from the planning phase to operation—is a prerequisite. This includes good structuring of the planning and construction phases with precise definition of interfaces and responsibilities, as well as the assignment of tasks, support, and accountability, but above all, good communication and collaboration among all parties involved from the idea through planning and construction to operation, maintenance, and qualification.

The South Cleanroom Ring is a consortium of companies active in various phases of a cleanroom's lifecycle, focusing on interdisciplinary collaboration. Joint projects, exchange of expertise, and cooperation on innovations and within specialist groups not only enable the development of system solutions but also open perspectives for the future. Production under pure conditions is becoming increasingly interesting for more and more industries, and regulatory frameworks are also constantly evolving. Customers benefit both from the synergy of different disciplines and from the expertise and collaboration of the partners. They also receive solid support for future projects based on the current state of science and technology.

Professional Events

At regular intervals, the South Cleanroom Ring invites interested parties to professional events at interesting locations on current topics. These events combine theory and practice, supplemented by an accompanying trade exhibition. The schedule of the event provides a special forum for discussion, experience sharing, and information exchange. A similar event is planned again for 2016.

The participating companies are mostly based in southern Germany or have representatives on site, facilitating close cooperation through geographical proximity. Institutions such as the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology and Automation IPA in Stuttgart and the Albstadt-Sigmaringen University of Applied Sciences are involved.
