Cleanroom cleaning at the highest level

The cleanroom training center is part of the Piepenbrock Technology Center and is connected to the company's own academy and technical management. With this construction, Piepenbrock is taking new approaches: cleaning no longer needs to be explained in theory and then practically practiced only at the customer’s site. The training center features two cleanroom replicas, one according to ISO requirements and one according to GMP standards, including an anteroom area and a hand hygiene station. A storage room contains cleaning equipment and typical cleanroom furnishings such as tables, transport carts, or cleanroom chairs. “Here, we can convey the theoretical content and immediately apply it practically in the cleanroom,” describes Norbert Gürke, head of the cleanroom cleaning department at Piepenbrock, the successful concept. “From proper hand disinfection, various dressing techniques, to cleaning floors, walls, ceilings, and furnishings, everything is practiced directly. Just as the appropriate use of cleaning agents and materials,” Gürke continues.

The documentation of cleaning is also addressed in the seminars. Due to the increase in audits and regulatory requirements, the demands on cleanroom operators and thus also for cleanroom cleaning are becoming more comprehensive. Clients must therefore be able to rely on their service provider not only to master all cleaning procedures but also to provide audit security. “Documentation is, of course, also an important focus in our training, after all, it is one of the most important activities at the customer’s site,” explains Gürke. “Our employees are very intensively trained in this regard.
