Clean solutions for process-safe and efficient parts and surface cleaning

- parts2clean presents numerous innovations and further developments
- Know-how for process optimization

When it comes to achieving the cleanliness required for subsequent processes or the smooth functioning of products in a quality-stable and economical manner, many factors play a role. This ranges from selecting the right cleaning chemistry to process and plant technology, media preparation, and cleaning containers, as well as environment, corrosion protection, and packaging. "Whether pre-, intermediate-, final-, or functional surface cleaning – each cleaning task presents different requirements. This year's parts2clean offers a range of solutions for process-safe and efficient parts and surface cleaning like no other," explains Olaf Daebler, Managing Director of parts2clean at Deutsche Messe AG.

About six weeks before the fair, more than 200 exhibitors have already confirmed their participation in the 14th International Leading Trade Fair for Industrial Parts and Surface Cleaning, taking place from May 31 to June 2, 2016, at the Stuttgart exhibition grounds. This puts parts2clean roughly on the same level as the previous event last year.

Innovative solutions in all exhibition segments

They present products and services along the entire process chain of industrial parts and surface cleaning. "Numerous exhibitors are showcasing innovations and further developed solutions that will be presented to an international audience for the first time during parts2clean," reports Daebler. This includes a new modular cleaning system, which combines processes such as pre-cleaning in immersion or ultrasonic methods, robot-guided, contour-based rinsing, component degreasing, component rinsing with dry steam, and photo-optical component inspection with CO2 re-cleaning. A new, particularly compact system equipped with innovative technologies will also be introduced for solvent cleaning with non-halogenated hydrocarbons and modified alcohols. A premiere is the innovative ultrasonic solution that now allows the use of multi-frequency ultrasound in chamber cleaning systems under vacuum. Vacuum-resistant immersion transducers with switchable ultrasound frequencies of 25 and 50 kHz increase the flexibility and application possibilities of these systems. There are also new developments for bath control and maintenance, such as a mobile measurement system for media monitoring and fluid analysis. Among the innovations in film-based cleanliness control is an automated system solution based on an inline fluorescence sensor, which is quickly and precisely positioned with a three-axis positioning unit. Also presented is a new digital Raman laser microscope, specifically developed for manual identification of organic and mineral residual dirt particles, film contamination, and liquids. In the areas of cleaning containers, media, corrosion protection, and packaging, as well as components, there are also various new and further developments to see.

Bilingual specialist forum and guided tours

"One of the highlights of this year's parts2clean is the bilingual specialist forum, which offers a wealth of knowledge on process optimization in various areas of industrial parts and surface cleaning," says Daebler. It also features for the first time the topic block "Innovation Forum Component Cleaning," where exhibitors will present new developments related to the different building blocks of industrial component cleaning in short lectures. Participation in the forum is free for parts2clean visitors. The complete program of the forum can be found at http://www.parts2clean.de/de/veranstaltungen/programm/fachforum/. Additionally, guided tours enable visitors to be led directly to exhibitors offering solutions suitable for their specific tasks.

Parallel to parts2clean, from May 31 to June 2, 2016, the Stuttgart exhibition grounds will host O&S, the international trade fair for surfaces and coatings, LASYS, the international trade fair for laser material processing, and the AUTOMOTIVE Expo, a collaboration of five different automotive trade fairs.
