Clean solutions and extensive know-how for optimized parts and surface cleaning

At the 10th parts2clean from October 23 to 25, 2012, at the Stuttgart Exhibition Grounds, around 230 exhibitors will present products and services for optimized parts and surface cleaning in manufacturing industry, maintenance, and remanufacturing. Complementing the world's most comprehensive range in this field, the first-time bilingual (German – English) parts2clean Fachforum offers valuable know-how for cost-effective, eco-friendly, and reproducible industrial part cleaning.

The cleanliness of components and surfaces has become a quality criterion, increasingly defined by preset, reproducible, and documented residual dirt values across various industries. In the global, increasingly competitive environment, companies in manufacturing, maintenance, and remanufacturing aim to meet these requirements as cost- and eco-efficiently as possible. However, this can only be achieved with needs-based solutions—whether for complex cleaning tasks, degreasing, deburring, residual dirt control, or temporary corrosion protection. These solutions are offered by the approximately 230 exhibitors of the 10th parts2clean, taking place from October 23 to 25, 2012, at the Stuttgart Exhibition Grounds.

Innovations and developments across all areas

The event showcases the world's most comprehensive, industry- and material-spanning offering along the process chain of industrial component and surface cleaning. Exhibitors in all areas present numerous innovations and advancements. The focus is on solutions that contribute to greater process safety, economic efficiency, and environmental compatibility. For example, in equipment technology, various solutions are introduced to enable more energy-efficient operation of cleaning systems, including the first "green" ultrasonic generator. For the increasingly important task of cleanliness control and documentation in many industries, exhibitors also present new products. These include a compact inline measurement system that allows residual dirt analysis according to VDA 19 to be integrated into manufacturing for the first time. In segments such as cleaning media, bath monitoring, and bath maintenance, exhibitors showcase innovations like cleaners based on renewable raw materials, systems for efficient process and wastewater treatment, and devices for concentration measurement in liquids. To effectively and economically address corrosion protection, preservation, and packaging of cleaned components and surfaces, innovative solutions are also introduced.

Bilingual parts2clean Fachforum – Knowledge that pays off

One of the highlights of the leading trade fair is the Fachforum. "To meet the growing international demand for information on industrial component and surface cleaning, we are conducting the Fachforum bilingually for the first time this year. The German- and English-language lectures will be translated simultaneously," reports Hartmut Herdin, Managing Director of the organizer fairXperts GmbH. The program, coordinated by the Fraunhofer Alliance Cleaning Technology, offers valuable knowledge across various fields. For example, the lectures on the first day focus on efficiency and costs in cleaning technology, addressing questions like "How much should cleaning cost?" In the second lecture block, exemplary process solutions are presented, including cleaning before PVD coatings and in the optical industry. On the second day, four lectures in the first session address "Cleaning Analytics – Methods and Systems." The afternoon sessions cover special processes and their applications, such as the combination of high-pressure cleaning and atmospheric pressure plasma, plasma cleaning in PCB and electronics manufacturing, component cleaning with light, and CO2 snow jet technology for cleaning in the series production of precision mechanical and mechatronic products. "Cleaning media and corrosion protection" are the focus of the first lecture series on the third exhibition day. Topics include "Standard test procedures for temporary corrosion protection, evaluation of results, implications for daily practice" and "Cleaning and cleaning media in the process chain, importance of different media systems, practical examples." The afternoon lectures on the third day focus on revising VDA 19 – experiences and feedback after seven years of VDA 19, the need for revision from the perspective of an automotive supplier, automaker, and cleanliness service provider.
