Clean air taken literally

Sometimes the smallest things are of the greatest importance. Even minimal air contamination, for example in the pharmaceutical or food industry, can lead to unacceptable quality losses. The Swiss manufacturer of air microbial samplers MBV enables its customers to monitor microbial contamination of the air in various fields of application with mobile and stationary devices – precisely and reliably.

For example, the built-in air microbial sampler MAS-  Iso MH is used for microbiological monitoring of air in isolators and RABS. It is primarily used where the highest requirements are placed on the production process and even the smallest contamination is unacceptable. It is easy to handle, even during decontamination, can be integrated into higher-level systems, and is designed to be robust.

The stationary device is based on the Andersen impact principle and offers numerous advantages. Electronics and mechanics are located outside the critical area, while up to 4 collection cups for standard Petri dishes (90 - 100 mm) in the containment zone can collect samples up to 40 meters away. A double-valve safety concept prevents contamination from entering the containment and thus losing a production batch. Furthermore, the device has an integrated pump with flow monitoring for automatic inline decontamination of the sampling cups and air intake lines. Thanks to the fully automatic calibration, this air microbial sampler guarantees maximum efficiency and accuracy according to the manufacturer’s specifications. Extensive documentation, precise schematics, and PC-based software for configuration and calibration are included in the scope of delivery.
