Clarity high five
Dallmeier uses SPETEC cleanroom
When installing camera sensors, even the tiniest dust particles can become huge sources of interference. The higher the resolution of the cameras, the more critical this becomes. To prevent any contamination in their video technology systems, Dallmeier electronic GmbH & Co. KG decided to install a Class 5 cleanroom from SPETEC in their Regensburg production hall. Now, crystal-clear clarity is guaranteed.
When it comes to the important topic of security, whether at airports, football stadiums, public spaces, or company premises, video technology has become indispensable today. The market is growing rapidly, and the technology has advanced explosively in recent years. On the one hand, there have been huge advances in storage technology; on the other hand, artificial intelligence has made quantum leaps, accompanied by groundbreaking innovations in digital image processing. As a result, video technology is increasingly developing into a central component of IT and security strategies in companies, enabling savings and optimizations, and rapidly opening up new application fields that were previously unthinkable.
Dallmeier has over 30 years of experience in transmission, recording, and image processing technology and is recognized worldwide as a pioneer and leader in CCTV/IP solutions. From the beginning, the company's focus has been on innovative development, top quality, and reliability. Today, Dallmeier is the only manufacturer in Germany that develops and produces all components itself—from cameras, image storage, and transmission, to intelligent video analysis, up to customized management systems. This profound knowledge is also used in the development of intelligent software and the manufacture of high-quality recorder and camera technology.
Securing a leading position
Thus, Dallmeier can offer not only standalone systems but also complete video technology solutions for large projects with perfectly coordinated components. In particular, the Multifocal Sensor System Panomera® with its unique camera technology has not only revolutionized the market but also opened up entirely new possibilities for the video security industry, according to a company statement.
Panomera® was developed especially for comprehensive coverage of large areas and allows the display of vast distances and areas with high resolution— in real-time and at high frame rates of up to 30 fps. With this innovative system, a huge area can be monitored from a single location, with resolution that can be scaled almost arbitrarily according to customer requirements.
Particle-free assembly of the necessary and highly sensitive components in the cameras has become increasingly essential for complex systems, and many sensor suppliers even recommend cleanroom environments of at least class 6. Therefore, in early 2017, Dallmeier's management decided to install a cleanroom directly at the new production lines in the east wing of the manufacturing hall at the Regensburg plant. The developed concept included not only cleanroom-specific sizes but also the demand for optimal working conditions from an ergonomic perspective. Dallmeier quickly found the right implementation partner in SPETEC, the recognized specialist for modular cleanroom solutions, which proved to be ideal due to its proximity.
Optimal solution for maximum quality
The installed SPETEC cleanroom module, measuring 8.70 x 3.87 meters, consists of a seamless wall system made of aluminum fixed elements and viewing windows, as well as sliding doors for the personnel lock, an emergency exit with a single leaf door, and service in-/outlets. In addition to the air conditioning, six laminar flow modules with the "SUSI super silent" version were installed for air filtration, ensuring ergonomically optimal working conditions at the four work and assembly stations throughout the company. The installation also includes a particle measurement device, a material lock with compressed air cleaning at a workbench with extraction system, coordinated LED lighting in the ceiling, and an extra flow box in the lock for pre-cleaning. Under this configuration, a cleanroom class ISO 5 is maintained stably even with full staffing, with daily monitoring and documentation. Inside the cleanroom, there is also a wardrobe and a bench as additional "furnishings".
According to Dallmeier's management, the highest level of purity in the assembly process—and thus maximum product quality—is ensured when the sensor boards and lenses of various camera types are sealed air-tight under these optimal conditions. Founder and CEO Dieter Dallmeier is thoroughly satisfied with the cleanroom supplier SPETEC. "Everything went exactly as planned, all deadlines and our specifications were met precisely, and we fully achieved our goals with this project. It couldn't have gone better." Arguments from Dallmeier's perspective for working with SPETEC include the sophisticated design of the cleanroom solutions, their modular structure, high manufacturing quality, and favorable cost/benefit ratio. "Furthermore, we especially want to highlight the very good contact with the project responsible staff at SPETEC throughout the entire project duration and the exemplary installation by the technicians. Even our special requests were fulfilled," summarizes Dieter Dallmeier.
