CIM med GmbH celebrates its 10th anniversary

CIM med GmbH has reason to celebrate. Over the past 10 years, the Munich-based company has evolved from a small start-up into one of the leading providers of high-quality medical carrier systems in the international market.

The track record is impressive: In 2007, Manuela Deverill and Manfred Rosa started their company with just four employees on 420 m² in Unterschleißheim. At the beginning, there was an innovative business idea – the development of ergonomic, medical carrier systems that are perfectly tailored to the needs of the respective users and can be used in critical clinical areas such as operating rooms, intensive care units, emergency departments, or examination rooms. Unique, almost revolutionary in the development of these carrier systems, was and is the internal cable management, which CIM med® had patented in the year of its founding. Since then, the products, developed and manufactured in Germany, have been continuously improved – as well as the quality management systems, which underpin the company's high standards, especially regarding hygiene and safety aspects. Since 2017, CIM med GmbH has fulfilled the requirements of the new ISO 13485:2016 directive as one of the first providers in the market.

Managing Director Manuela Deverill is not only proud of the company's development so far but also very optimistic about the next ten years. "We have set all the course for a successful future. Our production area has multiplied, and CIM med® carrier systems are now in use in over 40 countries worldwide. With our extremely demanding quality awareness, high manufacturing flexibility, a team of over 50 experts, and short decision-making processes, we are also an attractive partner for major medical technology manufacturers – especially when it comes to developing very specific solutions. Nationally and internationally."

The Munich-based company has established itself firmly in the fiercely competitive international business. In 2012, they achieved their breakthrough on the American continent for the first time. This was followed by further prestigious large projects, including 2013 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina, and at the Kitasato University Oriental Medicine Research Center in Tokyo. By 2016, CIM med's export share was already around 70 percent. The trend continues to rise.
