The preparations for Chillventa 2012 are in full swing. Even today, it is clear that the international trade fair, covering refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pumps, will once again reaffirm its importance as a global industry meeting point in its third event cycle. About half a year before the event begins, the entire net exhibition space of 2010 has already been fully booked. For the first time, Chillventa will start with a new schedule. At the suggestion of exhibitors, it will open its doors from Tuesday, October 9 to Thursday, October 11, 2012, for industry experts from around the world. The accompanying congress program will begin as usual the day before the fair, on Monday, October 8, 2012.

"We are looking forward to Chillventa 2012 with confidence. The current registration status gives us every reason to do so: We are already registering significantly more registrations than at the same point before the last event. In terms of space, we have already exceeded the result of 2010. Therefore, we are optimistic that Chillventa 2012 can improve in every respect," said Gabriele Hannwacker, Event Manager at NürnbergMesse.

The positive response from exhibitors shows that Chillventa is regarded as an outstanding meeting point for the international industry. Currently, 704 exhibitors, of which 62 percent are from abroad, have booked their stand space. "This year, Chillventa will grow significantly again, including in terms of stand areas. We have therefore expanded the available space. There is still room for further registrations," explains Hannwacker.

Current Trends: Energy Efficiency and Environmental Protection

At Chillventa 2012, exhibiting companies from the refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump sectors will showcase the broad spectrum of the industry in its full diversity. Two trends are dominant across all areas: energy efficiency and environmental protection. This is driven by increasing demands on the performance of devices and components, which are designed to operate more efficiently and economically. Additionally, the industry is committed to introducing environmentally and climate-friendly product solutions. Exhibitors will present components and control technology that meet the highest standards and make an important contribution to implementing national and international climate protection targets. Thus, at Chillventa 2012, economic efficiency and sustainability are combined for an industry that uses resource-conserving products to integrate the principles of economics and ecology.

Heat Pumps: Focus in Hall 7

At Chillventa 2012, heat pumps will again play a special role. "The international market for heat pumps is growing, and technological developments in this segment are helping establish the heat pump as a comfortable and economical alternative to other heat generators. Due to their cost advantages and environmental considerations, heat pumps are taking a pioneering role," reports Dr.-Ing. Rainer M. Jakobs, Coordinator of the Chillventa Specialist Program. In Hall 7, Chillventa consolidates and focuses the offerings around heat pumps. Applications in commercial and industrial use are at the center. "In the immediate environment of refrigeration and air conditioning technology, we create the best conditions for intensive professional exchange," adds Event Manager Gabriele Hannwacker.

Cleanroom Village: Compact Cleanroom Technology in Hall 1

The Cleanroom Village again comprehensively covers the topic of cleanroom technology at Chillventa 2012. The international trade fair forum in Hall 1 offers planners and operators of pure and ultra-pure rooms a compact overview of the latest trends in this demanding segment. The number of cleanrooms in many high-tech industries is continuously increasing, and worldwide, requirements for air quality in industrial production processes are rising. This brings new challenges for cleanroom technology, leading to an accelerated cycle of innovation. "Exhibitors with highly developed products and services related to cleanroom technology will find their platform within the Cleanroom Village at Chillventa," explains Gabriele Hannwacker. "Following the successful premiere of the Cleanroom Village at Chillventa 2010, we see further potential for synergies on both the exhibitor and visitor sides," the event manager continues.

The specialist forums at Chillventa 2012 again offer visitors targeted information on various areas of refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump technology from first-hand sources. Numerous expert presentations provide concise and practical knowledge. High-Quality Chillventa Congressing

On Monday, October 8, 2012, Chillventa Congressing will again provide comprehensive expert information from all sectors of the refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump industry. Renowned international speakers will share knowledge from research and practice at the modern NCC East and inform about current political frameworks in Europe and worldwide. Expertise on current standards and certifications, as well as on smart cities and the Eco-Design Directive, will be provided by renowned speakers from ASERCOM, EPEE, and EHPA. The symposium on Nearly Zero Energy Buildings addresses a current trend, complemented by a practical workshop offered by ASHRAE. Another workshop on data centers will build on the results of the previous event at the last Chillventa.
