Ulrich Mohr, Sales Manager for West Germany of the nora Sales Group DACH, is retiring on May 31, 2023 – after approximately 37 years with the company. His successor will be Bastian Heinzig. The 44-year-old has been with the rubber flooring manufacturer since 2019 and most recently managed the sales area Germany North/East. Heinzig will relocate his office from Hanover to the production site in Weinheim by mid-year. A successor is currently being sought for his previous area of responsibility. The sales regions of Southern Germany and Switzerland will continue to be led by Thomas Zimmermann, while Stefan Kaltenböck remains responsible for the Austrian market.

Think and act sustainably – in consulting and sales

Mohr began his career at nora, then still Freudenberg Bausysteme KG, in 1986 as a district manager in the Lake Constance region and then worked until 1994 as a Key Account Manager for industry. Since then, he has been responsible as a sales manager for various sales regions in Germany. "During this time, we managed to successfully develop the market with our material rubber as an authentic, robust material and become a significant player in project business," says Mohr. In addition to his sales management role at the Weinheim site, he is also a contact person for product management and holds further strategic additional tasks, which will be taken over by Heinzig on June 1. The enthusiastic hobby sailor is starting his retirement with an extensive voyage through the Mediterranean along the Greek islands.

“I am looking forward to being directly in the center of things at the Weinheim location through this change and gaining valuable insights from various departments to better meet the needs of our customers,” explains Heinzig. A particular concern for the new Sales Manager West Germany is the topic of sustainability. “With nora rubber flooring, which is climate-neutral throughout its entire product lifecycle, we can make a significant contribution to more sustainable buildings – this is a clear unique selling point in the industry.” Nora follows the threefold approach recommended by the Federal Environment Agency in its sustainability journey: “reduce, avoid, compensate.” Heinzig’s team in the Germany/West region consists of nine district managers and a market segment manager. Additionally, he is supported by several employees from project coordination and customer service in the internal office.
