CAT Group designs state-of-the-art ISO 1-dry rooms for the Fraunhofer Institute (IPA)
At the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology and Automation IPA, two new ISO1 cleanrooms are being constructed until approximately mid-year for use as dry rooms. The contract for planning and implementing this complex project was awarded to CAT Clean Air Technology GmbH (CAT Group) from Stuttgart.
In the two cleanrooms of the highest cleanliness class, the fundamentals and application scenarios for processes and products that are used under both pure and very dry environmental conditions will be researched for their suitability and further developed with industry. This is a project that Fraunhofer IPA is implementing in this form for the first time. Among other things, the dew point in the two rooms can be individually and continuously lowered to as low as -40 degrees.
The Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology and Automation IPA has been testing products for cleanroom suitability according to recognized testing procedures and standards in the cleanroom industry for over 30 years. The unique testing infrastructure of Fraunhofer IPA at the Stuttgart-Vaihingen site consists of several cleanrooms of class 1 according to ISO 14644-1.
