Camfil publishes Sustainability Report 2025

Energy efficiency, lower emissions, and more environmentally friendly products remain central themes for Camfil, a leading manufacturer of solutions in the field of clean air. The recently published Sustainability Report for 2025 documents the company's steady progress in its own operations, as well as how it supports its customers in achieving their sustainability goals.

In addition to operational advancements, the report also highlights overarching aspects of Camfil's sustainability strategy. These include expanding activities in the circular economy and the continuous development of requirements for suppliers and partners. "The expectations of our customers, regulatory authorities, and our own employees are increasing," says Mark Simmons, President and CEO of Camfil. "Therefore, we must continually improve in measuring, managing, and reducing our environmental impacts."

The key points at a glance:

– Camfil has further reduced emissions from its own operations compared to the reference year 2023, among other measures through energy savings in production, expansion of solar systems, and increased use of low-CO₂ electricity.
– More than 70 percent of the product portfolio is now designed for energy-efficient operation, with an upward trend.
– In resource and waste management, Camfil is increasingly focusing on reuse, recycling, and reduced raw material consumption.
– Collaboration with suppliers has been structured more clearly, for example through well-defined requirements in the areas of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) as well as increased transparency along the supply chain.

The sustainability report clearly shows that improving energy efficiency remains the most important lever for reducing the environmental impact of air filters. These impacts mainly occur during operation through the electricity consumption of the fans that transport air through the filters. At the same time, global awareness of the importance of clean air for health, productivity, and sustainable building operation is growing – and with it, the demand for energy-efficient air filter solutions.

In the coming years, Camfil will continue to pursue its sustainability goals for 2030 consistently. The focus will be on energy-efficient products, reducing emissions in the value chain, and developing circular product and material concepts. At the same time, collaboration with suppliers will be expanded to improve data quality and sustainability performance.

Another key focus is on measuring and communicating sustainability achievements more transparently. "We know where we can make the biggest difference," said Simmons. "It's about better products, better data, and consistently continuing the path we have embarked on together with our customers and partners."
