Call for Papers – Ensuring Stable Component Cleanliness

The "Industrial Cleaning" Conference will already be taking place for the 24th time in 2015 and is among the most renowned events in the field of industrial component cleaning. The upcoming event on March 12 and 13, 2015, in Munich will focus on innovative solutions and experience reports on process optimization of component cleaning, taking into account the guidelines for process and quality assurance in component cleaning developed by FiT e. V. The organizer, ZVO Academy, invites interested speakers from industry and research to help shape the program with a presentation.

Under the motto "Create quality instead of testing – reliably ensure component cleanliness," industrial cleaning technology is meeting the increasing demands of plant operators. To ensure both sufficient quality and high economic efficiency in component cleaning, the Cleaning Committee of the Industrial Parts Cleaning Association (FiT) e.V. developed guidelines for a new level of quality-assuring process management. They include principles and rules from the perspectives of chemistry/process technology, plant engineering, measurement/testing, and control, as well as knowledge transfer/qualification. The guidelines provide clear orientation for experience exchange and the development of new solutions in cooperation between industry providers and component manufacturers.

Process Optimization – Here’s How

According to the guidelines, the program of the two-day "Industrial Cleaning" conference in 2015, which will take place on March 12 and 13 at the Ramada Hotel & Conference Center in Munich, is divided into the following topics:

- Chemistry/Process Technology
- Plant Engineering
- Measurement/Testing.

The focus is on innovative solutions for the practical implementation of the guidelines and experience reports. As the organizer of the conference, ZVO Academy invites interested speakers from science and industry across sectors with the call for papers "Process Optimization – Here’s How" to help shape the program of the 24th conference. Content focus of the presentations should be on product and service developments, application examples, as well as research projects or findings.

The total duration of a presentation should be at least 25 minutes and no more than 30 minutes. Five minutes are allocated for a dialogue with the audience after each presentation. Interested speakers are asked to send an abstract of their presentation (maximum 1 page DIN A4 as a PDF or Word file) by September 30, 2014, at the latest, to Petra Rosendahl, p.rosendahl@zvo.org.

The 24th conference will also feature an expert forum on cleaning technology, where speakers and attendees will discuss the topic "Technical Cleanliness: Film Contaminations as a Quality Criterion." This is intended as a starting point for developing an industry-wide guideline for quality assurance.

A trade exhibition will run parallel to the conference.

The Association of Industrial Parts Cleaning e.V. (FiT) represents suppliers, users, consulting, planning, engineering, and service companies, scientific institutes, and professional associations in this industry.
