CAITRON introduces the new modular carrying arm system HSH for the use of HMIs in cleanroom environments

From now on, the modular CAITRON support arm system HSH is available for all CAITRON HMIs of the CS, CR, and CT series. Pharmaceutical companies benefit from the high modularity of the support arm system and can thus install their HMIs in a needs-oriented manner within their cleanroom environments.

"With the new CAITRON support arm system HSH, we offer pharmaceutical companies maximum flexibility in the placement and mounting of our HMIs," says Andreas Hirt, Managing Director of CAITRON GmbH. "The support arm system HSH practically covers all application scenarios encountered in cleanroom environments – from wall and ceiling mounts to attachment on mobile workstations. Thanks to its modularity and variability, HSH also simplifies retrofitting into existing production lines, for example during line modifications."

As a central element of the support arm system HSH, a flange connects the HMI via a lockable swivel joint with the different support arm profiles. The flange can be mounted on the HMI with a 90° offset. In conjunction with the flange, the support arms in various designs as L-, I-, and U-holders enable easy installation of the HMIs according to the spatial situation on site.

Hygienic Design

The modular support arm system HSH was specifically developed for the use of CAITRON HMIs in hygiene-sensitive areas and cleanrooms. The cable management runs entirely within the support arm system made of 100 percent stainless steel, thus providing no points of attack for dirt adhesion. The smooth surfaces of the support arm components are resistant to industry-standard cleaning agents, acids, and alkalis. All transitions are free of niches or depressions where dirt particles or cleaning residues could accumulate.

The flange cover can be quickly and easily removed for fast access to the HMI connections in all versions. For IP65, it is available as a screwless bayonet lock, and for IP69, as a version with hygienic screws.

Versatile Accessories

The flange of the support arm system HSH is optionally available with a waterproof USB round connector or pipe adapter for a keyboard holder. Platform components with fixed feet or hygienic rollers enable mobile use of the support arm system. Additionally, an optional handle with bump protection is available for the HMIs.
