Spectacular – that was the unanimous opinion of the approximately 150 attending laboratory planners regarding the presentation of the new laboratory sample module. As part of the Laboratory Impulse Forum, Cadolto introduced the innovative laboratory of the future: fast, flexible, modular, and smart.

The Laboratory Impulse Forum of the AFW, Academy for Continuing Education, is the annual leading event for laboratory planners and took place on March 14-15, 2018, in the Stechert VIP Lounge at Sportpark Thomas Sommer in Fürth. Cadolto had invited the participants for a factory tour with the unveiling of the forward-looking laboratory sample module.

Following the – for many participants already impressive – factory tour, Michael Schäffler, a member of the management at Cadolto, welcomed the guests. After explaining the specifics of this sample module, Michael Schäffler, Klaus Söhngen (Managing Director of eretec Laboratory Planning), and Joerg Hoffmann (Managing Director of Waldner Laboratory Equipment) unveiled the laboratory of the future:

Equipped with the latest generation of laboratory technology and furniture from Waldner, it exemplifies a section of a larger building. The sample module has a gross floor area of nearly 109 m², measures 13.2 by 8.2 meters, and consists of two modules. It offers space for two sub-areas of a usage unit – and all the advantages of a Cadolto modular building.

Short construction times are becoming increasingly important for laboratory buildings. At the same time, these buildings should contain the latest technology, be architecturally demanding, and provide a pleasant working environment. Cadolto has combined all these requirements in its new laboratory sample module. The professional audience was visibly impressed by the possibilities of modular construction and the implementation in this building.

After the building is shown to the professional audience at analytica in Munich* in April, the metal facade elements will be installed later. On the long side, a full-glass facade will also be largely installed. Subsequently, it will find its place in the sample module park on Cadolto's company premises.
