All about rubber floors: The nora systems training program 2017
A perfectly installed and impeccably maintained floor enhances any property. Often, it is just small tricks and techniques that ensure a flawless appearance. Therefore, nora systems also offers a variety of training courses in 2017 on the installation and cleaning of rubber flooring. New is a seminar on the installation of the quick-lay system nora nTx, which can cut installation time in half and save costs. At the seminars held at the company's own training and information center in Weinheim, application technology specialists share their expertise. The seminar offerings are diverse and targeted at different audiences. From now on, interested parties can register for the various training sessions.
Seminars for qualified nora installers
Which installation materials are most suitable and what should be considered when preparing the substrate? How can potential installation errors and resulting claims for damages be avoided? Answers to such and other questions are provided to installers in the two-day seminars for qualified nora installers. The focus is on practical execution and processing. Guided by experienced factory installers, the participants learn in a relaxed and collegial atmosphere how to install rolls, tiles, and shaped stairs efficiently and error-free. Additionally, comprehensive explanations and tips are provided regarding the installer’s inspection obligations, the floor construction, and initial cleaning. The seminar concludes with a practical exam.
Dates for the two-day seminars:
March 30 and 31, 2017, June 21 and 22, 2017, November 9 and 10, 2017
Basic seminar on rubber floor installation
For installers with little or no experience in installing rubber floors, nora offers a one-day, free basic seminar. It covers fundamental topics such as double seam cutting, grouting, bonding, wall height installation, and shaped stairs. Participants can practice the installation under the guidance of experienced application technicians and receive valuable tips that make their work easier.
Date of the one-day seminar:
May 16, 2017
Day training on the quick-lay system nora nTx
Learn about the advantages of the innovative quick-lay system nora nTx and get answers to remaining questions about the technology. nora systems now offers this in two sessions as part of one-day, free seminars. Topics such as whether nora nTx can be installed on all substrates, how to prepare them, and whether the residual moisture of the floor needs to be measured—these and other topics are discussed in detail during the training, with nora specialists also happy to address individual participant requests. In addition to a theoretical and practical part, where the processing is demonstrated step-by-step, there is also a plant tour.
Dates for the one-day seminars:
April 26, 2017, October 26, 2017
Tips for cleaning managers and service providers
nora flooring leaves the Weinheim factory as premium products. To ensure they look good over the long term in daily use, proper cleaning is of great importance. Depending on the object, very specific hygiene guidelines often need to be followed—a challenge for cleaning managers and service providers. Here, nora application technicians are available to assist. They demonstrate, among other things, how even difficult stains can be easily removed from uncoated nora surfaces, provide tips for restoring damaged surfaces, and discuss different cleaning methods. Additional service: under certain conditions, such as when training a larger group of employees at a site, the nora application team also offers on-site in-house seminars.
Dates for the two-day seminars:
February 15 and 16, 2017, May 9 and 10, 2017, November 28 and 29, 2017

Training for planners on ESD protection
For planners involved in the construction of industrial or production buildings, nora systems offers training on electrostatics and ESD protection. "The demand is high," says Christian Fleuren, market segment manager for industry at nora systems, who leads the seminars. "Terms like conductivity, dissipative properties, or antistatic are not part of architecture studies. However, clients expect relevant knowledge when implementing architectural solutions." In the design of production facilities, laboratories, or research institutions, electrostatics and ESD protection play a central role in communication with clients and users. Therefore, this topic is a top priority in in-house workshops at architectural firms. But other aspects, such as media resistance or the dynamic-mechanical load capacity of floors, are also discussed alongside individual or project-specific questions. After coordination, additional experts from the German ESD Network (www.deutsches-esd-netzwerk.de) can also participate in the in-house events and share their expertise.
Planners from the industrial sector interested in hosting a workshop at their premises can contact Ulrike Kühnle (ulrike.kuehnle@nora.com, phone: 06201 / 80 42 70) for more information.
