Busch Switzerland celebrates 50 years of existence

The Busch AG celebrates 50 successful years since its founding in Switzerland. The employees and their families were invited to celebrate the anniversary.

Live music greeted the guests in a festively decorated tent, where candles in the company's colors created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Sami and Kaya Busch, Co-CEOs and co-owners of Busch Group, also participated in the event with their families. Guests enjoyed a variety of activities and were treated to delicious food.

The anniversary celebration was not only an opportunity to strengthen the community of employees and enjoy the family-like atmosphere at Busch AG, but also to reflect on the company's success story.

Max Zulauf Wyss led Busch AG as the first managing director since 1974 in Binningen, before the company moved to an office in Münchenstein. In the early 1980s, Busch AG relocated to Muttenz. Under the leadership of Hans Steybe, the Busch building was constructed in Magden and occupied in April 1993. In the same year, Dr.-Ing. Karl Busch introduced the COBRA vacuum pump, which was first put into operation at the Swiss pharmaceutical manufacturer Lonza – a highlight in the company's history. Another milestone was the deployment of the first COBRA NC vacuum pumps in steel degassing in 2002.

Under the leadership of Christian Muser, who has been managing director of Busch AG since May 2005, another important step in the company's history is underway: in Sisseln, in the canton of Aargau, the joint Swiss sales, system construction, and service center of Busch and Pfeiffer is being built. The new building is scheduled to be completed in October 2025. Starting January 2, 2026, the 34 employees of Busch AG will move into the premises. On March 1, 2026, colleagues from Pfeiffer Switzerland will join, so that both Swiss Busch companies will work together under one roof for their customers.

The new building gives us the opportunity to grow especially in service and system construction and to offer our customers outstanding vacuum solutions from a single source. After all, customer satisfaction and loyalty are the most valuable assets of our company," emphasizes Christian Muser.

To best support their customers, Busch AG regularly organizes seminars on vacuum solutions for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
