Bundled expertise presented in a varied manner

Expert tips, practical examples, inspirations: The first meeting of the German ESD Network on October 26, 2016, in Weinheim was a complete success. With nearly 50 participants, the event at the training center of nora systems GmbH was fully booked. The partners of the German ESD Network – a consortium of the companies Karl, Keinath Electronic, nora systems, and Wanzl – had put together an varied program under the motto "ESD Network LIVE". Visitors heard reports from practical experience, were informed about new scientific findings, and additionally had plenty of time for exchange with colleagues and Germany's leading ESD experts.

Technical lectures and exhibition

In technical lectures, speakers discussed topics such as ESD requirements in a clean environment or the integration of ESD into quality management and supply chains. During a factory tour, participants could take a behind-the-scenes look at nora systems and observe the production of an ESD floor. The event was rounded off with an exhibition on the topic of ESD – from planning a new EPA (Electrostatic Protected Area) to choosing the right ESD floor, access controls, and workplace equipment. The varied program was very well received by the participants, many of whom are ESD officers from their companies: "I took away many new ideas," said Ulrich Warmbold from Robert Bosch Elektronik GmbH. Peter Astor from Pepperl and Fuchs GmbH particularly appreciated that many everyday problems were addressed in the lectures and concrete solutions were presented. Many visitors praised the fact that comprehensive lecture documentation was provided to them after the event. "The know-how condensed in these materials is an ideal basis for our annual employee training," says Oliver Häfele from IBOH Electronic. "It was a successful premiere," was the overall conclusion of the participants. The series of events "ESD Network LIVE" is to be continued regularly.
