Bosch sets standards in sterile powder filling

In autumn, pharmaceutical manufacturers can look forward to another innovation from Bosch Packaging Technology: From September 18 to 29, 2017, Bosch will showcase the new filling and sealing machine AFG 5000 for the first time during an exclusive machine presentation in Crailsheim.

With the AFG 5000, Bosch has developed a machine platform for the sterile filling of powders into glass vials with a wide range of configurations. Depending on the equipment, both small and large quantities of powder can be precisely dosed. Thanks to a selection of different dosing stations, the AFG achieves an output of up to 480 vials per minute.

The system operates with a new, variable transport system that precisely adjusts its speed to the rhythm of individual stations such as filling, weighing, or capping. This allows delays in the workflow to be avoided in the future, and the vials are optimally synchronized – without jams or idle times. Additionally, the AFG saves space, time, and costs thanks to its slim, compact design and quick format changes.
