Booked-out halls and concentrated expertise

The AM Expo and Swiss Medtech Expo are fully booked. 260 exhibitors will present their products and services from September 9 to 10, 2025. The trade fair offering is complemented by an attractive accompanying program with 50 lectures in two symposia.

Once again, the AM Expo and Swiss Medtech Expo are fully booked. While the exhibitors at the Swiss Medtech Expo showcase solutions for the development and manufacturing of medical technology, the AM Expo highlights the potential of 3D printing as a serial production technology. Exhibition director Sara Bussmann is pleased with the response: "The high demand from exhibitors underscores the importance of our trade fairs for numerous companies. They provide an ideal platform to showcase innovations and to establish personal contact with customers, partners, or interested parties."

Symposia provide expert knowledge with practical relevance

On the two days of the fair, not only the products and solutions of the exhibitors are in focus, but also the exchange of knowledge. Two symposia offer visitors insights into current developments, challenges, and perspectives in additive manufacturing and medical technology. Here, experts from industry, research, and practice come together to share knowledge and discuss the future of their sectors. "The symposia are an important pillar of both trade fairs. We aim to stimulate professional exchange and provide concrete impulses for everyday work," says Sara Bussmann.

Current topics and concrete application examples

Among other things, the symposia focus on the key themes of artificial intelligence and sustainability. Julian Waldmann from Siemens discusses in his lecture "The Next Level of Modern Manufacturing: The AI Factor" on the first day of the fair how AI is transforming design and production processes. At the Swiss Medtech Expo, Barbara Mettler from Swiss Medtech presents the roadmap for decarbonizing the medtech industry. This offers practical approaches to emission reduction, from efficient building technology and the use of renewable energy to CO₂-efficient mobility.

New format promotes exchange

For the first time this year, there is the opportunity to directly interact with speakers after a thematic block. In "Meet the speakers," visitors can deepen their understanding of the symposium content and receive practical inputs for their daily work. "We want to not only inform but also foster dialogue. The new format is an ideal opportunity to discuss current challenges and develop solutions together," says the exhibition director.
