Blue Mountain and Stormbit announce a strategic partnership to provide companies in the life sciences industry with Asset Intelligence directly at the point of use.
Blue Mountain Quality Resources, LLC („Blue Mountain“) and Stormbit GmbH, part of the Systec & Solutions Group, announced today a strategic partnership. The goal of the collaboration is to make real-time asset intelligence available directly on the shop floor at the point of use for operators in the life sciences industry.
As part of the partnership, RAM, Blue Mountain's enterprise asset intelligence solution, will be integrated with VEYA, Stormbit's digital labeling and signage solution. This enables manufacturers to display current information about equipment status, performance, and other contextual data directly on the respective assets via cleanroom-compatible displays and e-paper labels.
The partnership addresses a key challenge in digitizing manufacturing processes in the life sciences industry: critical asset information from Regulatory Asset Management (RAM) is available in enterprise systems, yet operators on the shop floor often still rely on paper labels, manual processes, or separate systems to obtain the current status of equipment and assets. By providing reliable digital information directly on the respective asset, Blue Mountain and Stormbit aim to help manufacturers reduce manual processes and errors, make more informed decisions, and ensure that operators can access up-to-date information exactly where and when they need it.
For integration, RAM Connect, Blue Mountain's integration platform, will be used to securely transmit asset data and asset intelligence to Stormbit's VEYA platform. VEYA combines cleanroom-compatible hardware with a no-code software solution, enabling contextual information delivery and paperless electronic labeling in GxP-regulated production environments.
"We look forward to combining Blue Mountain's asset intelligence with VEYA. Life sciences manufacturers invest significant efforts to ensure their corporate data is accurate and validated. Our joint goal with Blue Mountain is to ensure that this data also reaches the personnel working directly on the equipment—in a form that is immediately actionable," said Jan-Henrik Dieckert, Managing Director & Partner at Stormbit.
Potential use cases include the direct display of equipment status, calibration or maintenance information, asset identification data, and other operational details at the respective asset. This creates a digital connection between enterprise asset management and the activities performed on the shop floor.
"Life sciences manufacturers need to be able to rely on current and accurate corporate data being available directly on the shop floor," said Judy Fainor, CTO of Blue Mountain. "Together with Stormbit, we can bring asset intelligence directly to the point of use. This supports operators in making faster decisions based on better information and reduces dependence on paper and manual processes."
The companies plan to make the integration available to their joint customers as part of their ongoing partnership. Further details on availability will be announced later in 2026.
