Basan with sterile news: Making work in sterile environments even safer, more comfortable, or more precise

The basan GmbH has new products in its range that further qualify work in sterile environments.

Gloves:

The TouchNTuff® glove series is recommended, for example, for mixing liquids, filtration procedures, handling of injectable vaccines, analytical measurements, or the production of granules and tablets. Core industries here include biotechnology, the pharmaceutical industry, as well as the production of medical devices and laboratory analysis.

TouchNTuff® 83-500 Sterile Polyisoprene: A sterile, powder-free synthetic glove made of polyisoprene, specially developed to meet the performance characteristics of natural rubber latex. It features an innovative grip profile with a non-slip surface for handling wet objects.

TouchNTuff® 93-700 Sterile Nitrile: A sterile, latex-free nitrile glove for single use. It offers maximum protection against chemical splashes and allows for very good finger mobility during precision work.

Cloths:

For cleaning processes with dry cloths and spray bottles, basan has added a comfortable alternative to its range with the pre-moistened and sterile cloth "Contec Prosat WFI PSWE0001". The Contec cloth is made of 100% woven polyester, soaked with 70% IPA and distilled WFI (EP). It comes in a compact triple-packaging for easy storage in isolators, biosafety cabinets, and glove boxes.

The Vertex Cloth TX3049P / TX3042P is a double-knit polyester cloth produced fully automatically under ISO 3 conditions in a machine process—without human intervention (preparation/cleaning, cutting, sealing, inspection, and packaging). This minimizes the risk of microbial contamination of the cloths during production. Vertex cloths are pre-moistened with 70% USP-grade IPA / 30% USP purified water.

Cleaning devices:

Specifically designed for cleaning isolators, RABS, glove boxes, and safety cabinets, the lightweight stainless steel tool EasyReach Cleaning Tool for Isolators and Mini Environments has been developed. Its rectangular, compact shape facilitates performing overlapping, straight wiping motions. Thanks to the hinge joints and lightweight construction, one-handed cleaning is comfortable and easy.

The EasyReach Cleaning Pads are extra-thick, padded, and highly absorbent polyester pads capable of absorbing large amounts of cleaning and disinfecting agents. The mop covers are available sterile and non-sterile, also soaked with 70% ETOH / 30% DI-W.
