Kammerer Gewindetechnik GmbH introduces ball screw drives for use in the food, pharmaceutical, and packaging industries. The screw drives are manufactured in Hornberg in the Black Forest. They have a high efficiency and are very precise, durable, and long-lasting.

The efficiency of Kammerer's ball screw drives reaches peak values of up to 98 percent. This means that a lower drive power is sufficient to achieve precise positioning and higher travel speeds with minimal temperature increase. Due to the high efficiency, the ball screw drives are not self-locking, as there is minimal friction between the nut and the spindle.

The ball screw drives are used, for example, for positioning tasks in food filling systems, packaging and thermoforming machines, and in the beverage industry. In packaging machines with particularly demanding environmental conditions, they ensure precise linear movements during delivery. They are also used in pharmaceutical applications and cleanrooms for highly accurate positioning tasks or lifting movements.

In conjunction with food or pharmaceutical products, Kammerer uses ceramic ball bodies and corrosion-resistant materials for the spindle and nut, meeting the highest quality standards. The Niro ball screw drives with ceramic balls developed by Kammerer are very robust and characterized by durability and high resistance to aggressive cleaning agents and other substances. The lubrications used ensure an optimal lubricating film and long service life. Application-specific scrapers in single or double design ensure the necessary sealing of the spindle nut and prevent dirt or debris from entering. The materials used for the screw drives enable users to certify the machines according to FDA requirements.

In addition to many standard designs, the screw drives are primarily customized and adapted to specific requirements. The ball screw drives feature innovative deflection systems and are available with single or double nuts, cooled and driven nuts. Kammerer offers ball screw drives, trapezoidal, and special screw drives in sizes from 4 mm to 160 mm diameter with various pitches and lengths up to 15 m. From small batch sizes of 1 to large series, all quantities can be produced for every requirement and in all manufacturing technologies (swirled, ground, or rolled) according to DIN or application-specific specifications.
