The resource and energy management system ResMa® from Weidmüller has been awarded the Product of the Year by Industrial Production. The system achieved third place in the category "Energy Technology and Electromechanics." The award "recognizes outstanding industrial products and projects," according to the self-description.

ResMa® steps onto the winners' podium. At the official award ceremony of Industrial Production in Munich, the energy management system was chosen for third place in the category "Energy Technology and Electromechanics."

The approach of ResMa® was recognized for not only transparently evaluating energy consumption using regression and correlation analyses but also reliably predicting it. By normalizing historical and current data, savings can be objectively assessed and future consumption realistically forecasted — independent of external influences such as temperature or working hours. "The award is a great honor and shows that our products meet the needs of our customers and the requirements for more efficient energy use," reports Dr.-Ing. Carlos Paiz Gatica, Product Owner for Industrial Analytics.

The jury for the award consists of the readers. In an open online voting, they can vote for their favorites. Ralph Scheller, Team Leader of Software Development for ResMa®, is also excited: "I am pleased with the great appreciation from the readers. ResMa® is a browser-based software that centrally collects all energy and production data via various interfaces. With its extensive analysis and visualization functions, it enables far more than traditional energy management, as users also gain detailed insights into workflows and production processes. This helps ResMa® not only monitor energy but also specifically improve the efficiency and quality of operational processes.

The software combines energy management with comprehensive evaluation, analysis, and visualization options — as a tool for process optimization and their energetic requirements. Based on detailed knowledge gained about processes and energy flows within the company, potentials can be identified to optimize processes.

ResMa® also supports compliance with the requirements of the Energy Efficiency Act, prepares CO₂ balances according to CSRD, and systematically implements energy management according to DIN EN ISO 50001. This creates a reliable data basis for more efficient processes and regulatory security.
