At MED-EL, it's becoming colorful

The company MED-EL, based in Innsbruck, is the leading manufacturer of innovative devices for the treatment of hearing loss. Last fall, KEMMLIT supplied and installed the complete cleanroom furniture for staff changing rooms and personnel airlocks. In addition to modern green tones, a white-brown combination in retro look was used.

The KEMMLIT brand stands for top quality, reliability, and sustainability. For the cleanroom area, KEMMLIT offers customized interior solutions made from HPL. The focus is on customer-specific furnishing of black-and-white areas and the attached infrastructure. The product range extends from staff changing rooms to all personnel airlocks from cleanroom class E to B or ISO 4.

For MED-EL from Innsbruck, it was clear from the beginning that colorful colors should be used for the personnel airlocks. In recent years, the cleanroom sector has heavily relied on the color white to emphasize cleanliness. The consequence of this has been dull and monotonous workplaces, which dampen the workforce and creativity. To create a pleasant working atmosphere, MED-EL therefore valued working with colors. KEMMLIT-Bauelemente GmbH, with its innovative product portfolio, not only meets the highest functional demands but also excels in custom designs in color and shape according to customer wishes. For this reason, MED-EL chose KEMMLIT for the renovation of the changing areas.

The following products were installed in the staff changing room:

- Changing cabins and benches
- Coat lockers for transfer coats
- Dispensing cabinets for transfer coats
- Sitover for changing shoes from street shoes to transfer shoes

The color concept involved two different shades of green combined with gray tones. This color combination appears particularly modern and harmonious.

In the personnel airlock, the wardrobe cabinets, sitover, dispensing cabinets, and all dispensers are finished in the color Patina Bronze. Additionally, the surfaces have a special protective coating for cleanrooms.
