When someone has been actively advising and planning in countless projects within the cleanroom industry for over thirty years and still is today, they can tell quite a few stories. Wolfgang Henker is one of those. Not only does he know a lot of people in this industry, but he has also been significantly involved in many projects: starting with a large Siemens project in Dresden in the early 90s, followed by other Siemens cleanrooms in Northern England and Portugal, as well as cleanroom projects at Klosterfrau, Merck, BioChrom, Almed, or Simlab, up to Berlin's largest cytostatics production facility, Wolfgang Henker has already made a lot of impact in this rapidly changing industry.

After the graduate engineer Henker sold his quite successful company, Cleanroom Competence CRC GmbH, in 2017 and served as managing director until the end of 2019, one might have expected him to retire and enjoy his life in Berlin and while traveling. Far from it! Instead, the agile engineer has now boldly started anew with his own consulting firm.

New start instead of retirement

His engineering office, Cleanroom Consulting, offers its clients comprehensive support throughout the entire project duration on all topics related to cleanrooms and sterile environments. From needs analysis and planning, obtaining and evaluating offers, to implementation with final acceptance, he is available. Three employees already support Henker with all the tasks facing the young company. Additionally, he relies on a network of specialists for engineering or consulting.

Why he doesn't stop, Wolfgang Henker explains: "The cleanroom industry is such a dynamic field with rapid developments, constantly opening up new areas of application. I want to stay involved for a while longer and bring my extensive knowledge and all my experience from more than 30 years to the benefit of my clients. Who would simply retire from such an exciting topic?"

Indeed, there is currently more than enough work in the cleanroom industry, so Wolfgang Henker has no worries about his young company. And since the experienced engineer also covers high and very high standards, including planning cleanrooms of class RR 1, his Cleanroom Consulting is likely to soon be added to his list of successes.
