AAF announces the new generation DriPak bag filters: Cleaner air, better performance

The latest generation of pocket filters: DriPak®
The latest generation of pocket filters: DriPak®

DriPak® is the latest generation of bag filters, designed and developed by AAF. These air filters provide optimal indoor air quality and even surpass the Minimum Efficiency (ME) of the new EN779:2012 standard, independently tested and certified by Eurovent. At the same time, DriPak® filters require only a limited amount of energy. The proof is in the dark green A-labels. The result: significantly lower total operating costs (TCO). DriPak® Emmen, April 16, 2013. DriPak® is the latest generation of bag filters, designed and developed by AAF. These air filters deliver optimal indoor air quality and even exceed the Minimum Efficiency (ME) of the new EN779:2012 standard, independently tested and certified by Eurovent. At the same time, DriPak® filters only need a limited amount of energy. The proof is in the dark green A-labels. The outcome: considerably reduced total operating costs (TCO). DriPak® bag filters are available as DriPak® SX, DriPak® GX, and DriPak® NX, each with various options regarding filter media, pressure drop, and operational mode.

•  Innovative double-conical design offers improved air quality and lower total operating costs
•  Full compliance with EN779:2012, independently tested - and certified by Eurovent
•  Dark green A-label, according to Eurovent energy efficiency classification
•  New DriPak® series available in three different variants in filter classes M5 through F9
•  DriPak® NX with new high-efficiency synthetic high-performance media for top-class performance

Innovative design for top performance

The leading performance of the new DriPak® bag filters results from the specially developed double-conical bags, created by AAF’s own research and development team. The innovative design, available nowhere else, ensures optimal air distribution across the entire media surface with optimized geometry, resulting in high dust holding capacity (DHC) and longer filter lifespan. Thanks to the more uniform load curve, the new generation DriPak® bag filters offer very low pressure loss combined with a high separation efficiency.

The new AAF DriPak® series also significantly exceeds the strict Minimum Efficiency (ME) requirements of the new EN779:2012 standard thanks to its innovative design, and offers numerous dark green A-labels according to the Eurovent energy efficiency classification, independently tested, verified, and certified by Eurovent. In practice, this means verified indoor air quality and substantial savings on energy costs.

DriPak® offers the best of both worlds: the health and well-being of building occupants are improved while the overall operating costs for building owners are reduced.

Three variants: one solution for all air quality challenges

AAF offers three variants of the new DriPak® bag filters in different configurations—regarding material, pressure differential, and operational mode: DriPak® SX, DriPak® GX, and DriPak® NX. This allows for complete solutions tailored to any air quality requirement.

The flagship of the completely new DriPak® series is the DriPak® NX, featuring stable bags made from the latest generation of highly efficient synthetic filter media. This air filter is intended for commercial, industrial, and institutional applications, such as pre- or final filtration in general ventilation systems or as a pre-filter for critical cleanroom applications, such as in the pharmaceutical industry. Due to its high dust holding capacity, it can also be used as a single-stage filter, depending on the application.

DriPak® NX is available in filter classes F7 and F9, according to EN779:2012. Thanks to its mechanical filtration properties, the air filter exceeds the Minimum Efficiency (ME) requirements by 10%. This is because its performance does not depend on electrostatic charge, leading to excellent results after discharge. At the same time, the DriPak® NX bag filter has an exceptionally low pressure drop of only 65 Pa for F7 class filters and 120 Pa for F9 class filters. With these performance data, DriPak® NX sets new standards in the industry. This results not only in an 'A' rating based on the new Eurovent energy efficiency classification but even exceeds the Eurovent A-label threshold by up to 35%.

In addition to DriPak® NX, AAF offers DriPak® GX and DriPak® SX as part of the new bag filter series. DriPak® GX is made of fiberglass and exceeds the requirements of the new EN779:2012 standard. It is available in filter classes M5, M6, F7, and F9, with the last three having a green A-label based on the Eurovent energy efficiency classification. DriPak® SX features synthetic material bags and is available in filter classes M5, M6, and F7. The energy efficiency performance of DriPak® SX has been significantly improved compared to its predecessor.

Detailed information about the brand-new DriPak® bag filter series from AAF can be accessed from April 16, 2013, on the new website: www.dripak.aafeurope.com.
