Since the company's founding 35 years ago, Toolcraft has continuously expanded its production areas in Georgensgmünd and Spalt. Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new hall of a technical fine cleaning facility took place, which will be of great importance for the company's future.

High-tech with a look into the future

The last groundbreaking on the premises of toolcraft AG in Georgensgmünd was only three years ago. At that time, the start signal was given for the construction of a new injection molding hall. Now, the family-owned company is planning a technological highlight and thus setting crucial course for the future. On an area of approximately 3,000 square meters, a hall for technical fine cleaning is being built, featuring a cleanroom according to ISO 6 of about 550 square meters. "This is a very important milestone – not only for Toolcraft but also for the collaboration with our long-standing partner from the semiconductor industry," says Bernd Krebs, founder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of toolcraft AG. In the future, components up to a size of 1.5 by 1.0 meters can be finely cleaned and packaged here – all under precisely defined, constant conditions of humidity, temperature, and pressure. The process will be carried out with the highest accuracy, continuously ensuring that a prescribed very low particle concentration is not exceeded. The final commissioning of the technical fine cleaning is planned for spring 2026 after extensive interior construction.

New jobs for the region

The construction of the hall will significantly increase the number of employees from the current more than 450. Currently, around 20 new jobs are planned, with the potential for up to 50 in the long term. "With the creation of a cleanroom, we are establishing one of the cleanest workplaces in Germany," says Karlheinz Nüsslein, Board Member for Personnel and Production at Toolcraft. The skilled workers there will not only wear special protective clothing but will also be extensively trained in advance regarding behavioral rules, work processes, and control mechanisms. "The requirements for a cleanroom bring entirely new standards and surpass the existing values of precision and accuracy," Nüsslein adds. "We look forward to this challenge, which represents a quantum leap into the future for Toolcraft." For some time now, Toolcraft has been setting the first personnel policy milestones. The medium-sized company will increasingly seek new talents in the near future who actively want to shape the company's future.
