nora systems continuously works to adapt and expand its portfolio of products and system solutions to meet the needs of its customers. Since October 2018, the company has offered nora one, a globally available all-in-one system solution for the installation of its rubber flooring coverings. nora one is the successor to the former nora systems blue offering. The new name also reflects the sustainable system concept: both flooring coverings and installation materials are low-emission and are installed by specially trained installers on-site. Thanks to certifications such as Indoor Air Comfort GOLD, EMICODE EC1 PLUS, and Greenguard Gold, as well as excellent technical and practical testing properties verified by Polymer Service GmbH Merseburg, customers now receive an extended warranty of eight years on the entire nora one system.

The advantages of nora one

The system solution has been thoroughly tested by experts in Merseburg. Tests included peel resistance (adhesive strength), durability, and residue impression behavior. nora one has significantly exceeded the required standards in all categories. "When residual impressions occur in the finished object on the floor, it is often not the covering itself but a single component, such as the adhesive, that is the weak point," explains Uwe Bauer, Head of Application Technology at nora systems. "With nora one, such problems can be eliminated." The system solution is product-independent and also applies to custom-made or inlay designs.

As a globally uniform offering, nora one is even more aligned with the increased safety needs of customers, who are increasingly demanding comprehensive system solutions from a single source: architecture and planning offices as well as building owners can rely on consistent product quality and installation services—from Berlin, through New York, to Dubai. "nora one guarantees the highest functional safety through the perfect coordination of the individual, system-tested components," explains Simon Rau, Product Manager at nora systems. "We stand by the customer as a reliable partner during and after installation." The service offering ranges from expert tender support to installers trained specifically by nora, to technical support—for example, regarding questions about cleaning and maintenance of nora flooring. The extended warranty of eight years applies to all components of the entire system—including both the installation materials and the rubber flooring. The installation of high-quality materials ensures long-term value retention of the property.

An important contribution to building certifications

"Sustainability is increasingly gaining importance in the construction industry," Rau continues. nora one makes a significant contribution to meeting important criteria for building certifications such as LEED or DGNB. For example, the low-emission flooring coverings and installation materials of the nora one concept can be credited within the LEED system. For DGNB, which aims to use products with as little environmental impact as possible throughout their lifecycle, nora flooring and installation materials achieve the highest quality level, especially concerning the local environment. The goal of this criterion is to reduce, avoid, or substitute all materials and (construction) products that could harm or negatively affect humans, flora, and fauna. The use of particularly environmentally friendly materials not only contributes to improving indoor air quality but also helps limit the renovation risks of a building concerning pollutants.
