For the linear technology sector, Rodriguez GmbH has established a new production site in Eschweiler, North Rhine-Westphalia. As part of the restructuring of this product area, production processes are being further optimized and manufacturing efficiency increased.

A continuous expansion of Rodriguez's in-house manufacturing has led to an increase in the machinery fleet and thus a higher space requirement. Therefore, the specialist for linear technology and precision bearings decided to build a new facility for one of its product areas. A new production site has now been opened in the industrial and commercial park (IGP) in Eschweiler, directly opposite the main building on Ernst-Abbe-Straße.

50 percent customized solutions

"With this investment, we are making a statement for our long-term path to further automate our production processes while delivering the highest quality, and at the same time maintaining the flexibility needed for medium-sized mechanical engineering," emphasizes Jörg Schulden, authorized signatory at Rodriguez. This flexibility is particularly valued at Rodriguez: with the new site, 50 percent of Rodriguez's production capacity is dedicated to manufacturing customized system solutions.

The manufacturing area in linear technology has been completely restructured over a total of 3,000 square meters. A key component of the modernization is a state-of-the-art CNC turning center. The powerful Mazak HQR-100MSY is used for high-precision spindle and shaft machining. Equipped with an automated loading and unloading system, it contributes to further workflow optimization and stabilization of production processes.

Sustainable building

During the planning of the new building, sustainability was also a primary focus. The entire roof surface was equipped with photovoltaic panels, and the building is heated with district heating or heat pumps. Inside, a modern ventilation system and LED lighting ensure minimal energy consumption.
