SEW-EURODRIVE complements its solution and product portfolio with stainless steel servo gearmotors. The PSH..CM2H.. series expands the application possibilities for applications in the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. These sectors have extremely high requirements for hygiene and cleanability.

The demand for an extremely short "Time to Market" is becoming increasingly urgent, especially in custom machinery construction. Current developments show how quickly the pressure on machinery builders can grow when production equipment for the manufacture of food or pharmaceuticals is needed within the shortest possible time. Therefore, SEW-EURODRIVE is expanding its solution portfolio with stainless steel servo motors and stainless steel servo gearmotors. With this, the Bruchsal-based company contributes to realizing machines and systems for hygienically demanding applications from the modular system. As a result, the precise hygiene drives can be delivered faster than the market standard.

The stainless steel servo gearmotors of the PSH..CM2H.. series are designed in hygienic design. They meet the strict guidelines of the European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (EHEDG) as well as the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The drives have a surface roughness of less than 0.8 µm and are free of edges and corners.

With regard to durability and easy cleanability, the compact units consisting of synchronous servo motor and planetary gear have been developed to withstand high-pressure cleaning at high temperatures – even with chemical cleaning agents. The drive units are resistant to hot steam and corrosive cleaning agents – two typical requirements especially in CIP (Clean In Place) and SIP (Sterilization In Place) processes. The protection class of SEW-EURODRIVE's new stainless steel servo gearmotors is IP69K. They are part of the automation modular system MOVI-C® and include five sizes with different lengths, rated torques from 1.0 to 103.6 Nm, and four different gear ratios per gear. Various feedback systems are available for dynamic and safe positioning. The stainless steel servo gearmotors of the PSH..CM2H.. series from SEW-EURODRIVE thus not only provide the necessary performance for systems in the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries but can also be flexibly integrated into existing machine designs.
