»CLEAN! 2013« – The Fraunhofer Purity Technology Award

For the first time, the Fraunhofer IPA is awarding the Fraunhofer Cleanliness Technology Award "CLEAN!" during the Lounges 2012 from February 5-7, 2013, in Karlsruhe. The award recognizes innovative applications across all disciplines of cleanliness technology annually. The deadline for submissions is January 8, 2013.

Outstanding cleanliness concepts are a prerequisite in numerous productions for high-quality products and efficient manufacturing. Furthermore, cleanliness technology significantly contributes to the level of innovation and progress in many industries. By announcing the "CLEAN! 2013" award, Fraunhofer IPA emphasizes the important role of cleanliness technology. All those who have innovatively and sustainably shaped the cleanliness technology industry are encouraged to participate in the competition.

An independent jury will decide based on the criteria of innovation leap, sustainability, industrial feasibility, and enabler quality. In addition to the jury chairman Dr.-Ing. Udo Gommel, Fraunhofer IPA, the professional jury includes Dipl.-Phys. Thomas Wollstein, VDI e. V., Dr. Lothar Gail, GMP Cleanroom Technology, Dr. Gerhard Kminek, European Space Agency, and Dipl.-Ing. Arnold Brunner, Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
