The Fit2clean Award annually recognizes outstanding achievements and new solutions to current challenges in industrial component cleaning, awarded by the Professional Association for Industrial Part Cleaning e. V. (FiT). The application phase for this year's Innovation Award, endowed with a total of 10,000 euros, has recently begun and runs until June 30, 2024. Participants can be providers and users from all areas of industrial cleaning technology. The award ceremony will take place during the 32nd Conference on "Industrial Part Cleaning" on September 11, 2024, in Dresden, where FiT will also celebrate its 20th anniversary. Attendees of the conference will be able to vote on the winners.

Part cleanliness is a key feature to ensure product quality and value creation in manufacturing industries. Cleaning processes should not only be application-appropriate but also economical, resource-efficient, and sustainable. Furthermore, the cleanability of components plays a crucial role in turning innovative product ideas into reality. "Innovations and further developments in various areas of industrial cleaning technology help strengthen the competitiveness of companies on one hand. On the other hand, they serve as enablers for progress," reports Dr. Michael Flämmich, Chairman of FiT. "The submissions from the past two years have shown that there is considerable innovation potential in industrial cleaning technology." To further promote and advance developments and innovations, the award is endowed with a prize money of 10,000 euros and a one-year free membership in the professional association.

Applications in three categories

The call for submissions is open nationally and internationally to providers and users of industrial cleaning technology. The application deadline recently started and runs until June 30, 2024. For this year's FiT2clean Award, innovative solutions, currently implemented product ideas, and further developments can be submitted in the following areas:

– Innovation: New product or product variation for more efficient implementation of current requirements in industrial component cleaning.
– Ecology: Solutions for industrial part cleaning or for modifying a product, process, or application case, resulting in resource-optimized process management or resource savings.
– QSRein 4.0: Innovative system solution for knowledge-based process management in industrial part cleaning.

Conference participants decide - Award ceremony during the 20th anniversary event of FiT

The FiT2clean Award will be presented this year during the 32nd Conference on "Industrial Part Cleaning" on September 11 in Dresden, which also marks the 20th anniversary of the professional association. A panel of an independent expert jury – twelve individuals from industry, science, research, and media – will select three finalists based on predefined criteria from the submitted applications. These solutions will be presented by the applicants in an elevator pitch to the conference attendees, who will then have the opportunity to vote on the winner.

The 32nd Conference on "Industrial Part Cleaning" will be held on September 11 and 12 in Dresden.
