25 years of Arburg Singapore: As a token of thanks and recognition, Juliane Hehl, Managing Partner, presented the anniversary sculpture to David Chan, who, as Branch Manager in Singapore, is responsible for the entire ASEAN region.

The 25th anniversary of the Arburg subsidiary in Singapore was celebrated on May 10, 2013, during an exclusive evening event. Around 90 guests responded to the invitation from David Chan, who, as the Branch Manager in Singapore, is responsible for the entire ASEAN region. Arburg Managing Partner Juliane Hehl and Sales Managing Director Helmut Heinson traveled to Singapore especially for the anniversary celebration.

Juliane Hehl and Helmut Heinson congratulated David Chan on the 25th anniversary of the Arburg subsidiary in Singapore and also extended the congratulations of the entrepreneurial family, the shareholders, the managing directors, and the entire staff of the Arburg headquarters in Lossburg.

Juliane Hehl thanked David Chan and his team for their decades-long and highly successful commitment in the ASEAN region and presented a commemorative sculpture to mark the 25th anniversary of the subsidiary. She also recognized Service Technician Low Chang Kin, who has also been active for Arburg for 25 years.

Around 90 guests celebrate the silver anniversary
The high-profile guest list reflected the importance Arburg has gained through decades of activity in the ASEAN region. Accordingly, the entire organization of the anniversary event was quite demanding, which David Chan humorously described as "one of the biggest challenges in his entire time at Arburg." The overwhelmingly positive feedback from guests from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia proved that the efforts were worthwhile. They particularly appreciated the opportunity to meet Arburg Managing Partner Juliane Hehl and her daughter in person. The exclusive atmosphere of the "Salt Grill & Sky Bar" and the varied entertainment program, which included various games with the chance to win iPads, were also highlights. At the end of the evening, each guest received a personal photo as a memento of the unforgettable anniversary event "25 Years of Arburg Singapore."

A 25-year success story
The Arburg subsidiary in Singapore was founded on May 11, 1988. Initially, it operated as a Technical Support Centre, and in 1992, it was transformed into an independent sales and service center for the entire ASEAN region. This development was very positive for David Chan: "The establishment of a regional sales organization gave our business a significant boost in customer confidence. Subsequently, the regional offices in Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia were further developed in terms of infrastructure and personnel."

Growing medical technology segment
While initially customers mainly came from the electrical and electronics sectors, today the focus is on companies producing precision medical technology parts. "The medical technology segment has especially grown steadily in recent years," says David Chan, who explains the technical requirements of this demanding industry: "Singapore is a niche market for medical technology and other high-end products. Therefore, we mainly need small, precise servo-electric machines that operate reliably and energy-efficiently. These are exactly the machines in Arburg's portfolio, and the company is known as a leading manufacturer in the region." This has created the conditions for continuous growth in sales across ASEAN countries over the past 25 years.

Hidrive opens doors to the packaging industry
"Arburg has always followed market trends with the appropriate products," proudly states David Chan, citing the hybrid Hidrive series as one of many examples. "The high-performance Hidrive machines have played a crucial role in opening up the packaging market in the ASEAN region and have helped establish Arburg as a recognized partner in this industry as well."
