21st Annual Congress of the European Association of Tissue Banks (EATB)

The annual congress of the European Association of Tissue Banks (EATB) will be held for the 21st time this year and takes place from November 21 to 23, 2012, with 200 - 250 expected participants in Vienna (Austria) at the Austria Trend Parkhotel Schönbrunn.

The "21st Annual Congress of the European Association of Tissue Banks (EATB)" will focus on current advances in basic research as well as clinical and medical aspects, particularly regarding the collection, storage, processing, and distribution of tissue transplants for implantation, as well as the development of new processing methods for tissue transplants for innovative human medical applications.
Topics to be addressed include among others:

• Donor care and safety
• Ocular tissue
• Skeletal muscle tissue
• Cardiovascular tissue
• Skin and skin substitutes
• Reproductive medicine
• Stem cells
• Pharmaceuticals for novel therapies, including exemption regulations for hospitals

The congress will enable researchers, clinicians, and students to interact and communicate to update their knowledge on the topics mentioned above. The conference also aims to serve as a platform for in-depth European and global collaborations in these research fields.
