An additional anniversary year for the Testo Group has begun. In 2017, Testo SE & Co. KGaA celebrated its 60th anniversary. Now, the 1999-founded Testo Industrial Services GmbH, headquartered in Kirchzarten, is celebrating its 20th birthday.

The full-service provider of measurement technology and quality assurance services specializes in calibration, qualification, validation, and test equipment management. In 1994, the Calibration Service Department KLD was established at the Testo site in Lenzkirch. Five years later, it was spun off as an independent Testo subsidiary, Testo CAL GmbH. Soon after, the company adopted its current name, Testo Industrial Services, and in 2004 moved to its new headquarters in Kirchzarten near Freiburg im Breisgau. Today, the team led by Managing Director Raimund Föhrenbacher has grown to over 1,000 employees across Europe.

20 years – 20 social initiatives

On the occasion of the anniversary, the company is organizing a special charity project: “20 Years – 20 Social Initiatives.” Employees submit suggestions for actions to do good for those in need, society, or the environment. The employee committee decides which initiatives will be implemented; the proceeds from the projects are then donated. Among the already approved charitable projects are, for example, a blood donation campaign at the Kirchzarten headquarters, a forest cleanup day (the “Forest Putzete” action) on Feldberg, or collecting bottle caps from soft drinks in the company restaurant, with the recycling proceeds subsequently benefiting the Foundation for Colorectal Cancer Help.

In April, a anniversary celebration was held with all employees of Testo Industrial Services GmbH at the Volante in Kirchzarten. In July, the international summer festival will be held again, celebrating together with employees from the European subsidiaries at the airfield in Kirchzarten.
