Stefan Marquardt
Stefan Marquardt was born in 1985 in Bad Berleburg. He began his apprenticeship in 2003 with the company EJOT GmbH & Co. KG as a tool mechanic – mold technology. After his training, his focus was on CNC machine tools.
In 2008, he started a two-year further training as a mechanical engineer – design at the State Technical Academy in Weilburg.
Since 2010, Stefan Marquardt has been working again at EJOT. Initially, alongside his main activity as a metallographer, he also supported technical cleanliness in the company. Since 2013, he has been responsible for damage analysis in the materials technology department.
In 2012, he founded the company PartikelXpert GbR. The company was specifically developed to create a standard for the qualification of cleanliness investigations.
In 2014, PartikelXpert was awarded the Fraunhofer Purity Technology Prize CLEAN! 2014 for the development of the standard.
What did you want to be as a child?
A firefighter, which is now one of my favorite hobbies.
What was your first car?
A red VW Golf 2; year of manufacture 1989; 90 HP.
What can you look forward to?
Going to my favorite pizzeria with my friends on Sunday evenings.
Which achievement are you particularly proud of?
The founding of PartikelXpert.
Which technical achievement do you admire the most?
The history of aviation.
Who would you like to swap lives with for a month?
No one. I am very satisfied with what I have and who I am.
In which country would you like to have a second residence?
In the middle of nature in Canada.
Who would you like to have met?
Leonardo da Vinci.
Which book would you recommend right now?
Bionics: Knowledge made easy.
What is your favorite food?
Mother's kale with potatoes and Mettwurst.
What is your favorite music?
Oldies and rock music.
What was the best advice you ever received?
Always be honest.
