Sascha Rother
Sascha Rother was born in 1976 in Empangeni, South Africa. His place of residence changed multiple times between Germany and South Africa.
Shortly after completing secondary school in Berlin, he joined the Bundeswehr in Schwarzenborn for 4 years, including a 6-month stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina. After his military service, he completed training as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk. Concurrently, he studied business administration and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree one year later.
After a few years in the fresh flower industry in Frankfurt, he joined basan in internal sales. Here, his interest in cleanrooms was sparked. During his 5 years at basan, he transitioned from internal to external sales. In 2009, he returned to South Africa and started basan South Africa.
Alongside his work at basan, Sascha Rother is currently enrolled in a master's program at Henley Business School.
After 10 years, basan SA is well established, which is also reflected in the increasing number of participants in the Cleanroom Forum organized by Sascha Rother. Speakers from various parts of the world present on the topic of "Cleanroom" over 2 days in Johannesburg.
