Dr. Raymond Jansen
Dr. Raymond Jansen was born in 1966 in Brühl near Cologne. After graduating from high school, he completed military service and committed himself as a soldier on a fixed-term basis with training to become a reserve officer. Following this period, Dr. Jansen studied biology at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn.
After his studies and doctorate, Dr. Jansen started in sales at a leading teaching materials company for the natural sciences, managing the European branches and dealers. During this time, he also took on the responsibility for establishing a sales branch (in Great Britain) for the first time.
Building on these experiences, he was then, after some interim positions, employed in 2008 by AMETEK GmbH as Sales Manager for the products of Solartron Analytical, Princeton Applied Research, and Signal Recovery, with the task of taking over the entire direct sales of these products.
In 2011, Dr. Jansen was entrusted with the challenge of establishing the Particle Measuring Systems Inc. branch in Germany and building both a sales and service organization. From these beginnings, over the past three years, an organization with two service locations and a double-digit number of employees has developed, which was transferred in 2012 to Particle Measuring Systems Germany GmbH and also established a QM system according to ISO 9001:2008.
