More than 11 years in the hospital/laboratory sector with a major glove manufacturer in Austria/Switzerland/Slovenia/Croatia/Russian-speaking regions/Eastern Europe. My first contact was in March 1998 with cleanrooms in the electronics and pharmaceutical industries in Germany/Austria. This marked the start of an exciting career spanning over 20 years in the cleanroom industry, with all the demands and innovations of this field. It has always been important to ensure that, in addition to the purity and usability of products in the cleanroom, the area of occupational safety in the cleanroom industry is not neglected.
Contributing to the development of the VDI guidelines VDI 2083 Sheet 5.1 "Operation of Cleanrooms" in 2007, as well as the subsequent version VDI 2083 Sheet 9.2 "Consumables in the Cleanroom" in 2017, focusing on gloves and disposable masks, were wonderful diversions and additional challenges.
Since early 2020, lectures on standards/requirements in occupational safety, together with the cleanroom requirements for gloves, masks, and disposable coveralls, have become part of everyday life, now moved online due to Corona. Unfortunately, especially because of Corona, this information is more important than ever: due to supply shortages from manufacturers, more and more products are being offered that do not meet the standards/requirements nor the high demands of cleanrooms.

Working with children or a nurse

NSU Prinz 1200 in orange – a small, hot little race car
What can you look forward to?
When the sun is shining in the morning – a nice hike or bike ride, or long bathing pleasure at the sea
What achievement are you particularly proud of?
Having managed to have four children, build a house, and always be happy about it, while also working and being successful during that time
Which technical achievement do you admire the most?
There are so many: development and expansion of natural energy sources and, very recently, the incredibly rapid development of SARS II / Covid-19 vaccines – an incredible achievement of people in research and the possibilities of cleanroom technology
Who would you like to swap lives with for a month?
With a dear friend from Croatia. She is an intelligent, lovable person, capable, and lives not far from the sea like I do…
