Joachim Ludwig
Mr. Joachim Ludwig studied "Technology of Scientific Equipment Construction" at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena starting in 1983 and completed his studies as a Dipl.-Ing. in 1988.
After his studies, Mr. Ludwig worked for the company Carl Zeiss Jena. His area of focus was particularly in the field of cleanroom technology.
In the following years, he was able to continuously expand this knowledge, especially through work at JENOPTIK-Infab.
In 1995, Mr. Ludwig founded his own company.
Over the past years, more than 10 patents and utility models have been created, along with numerous publications in professional journals and lectures at conferences both domestically and abroad.
Besides his demanding work, he is active in several committees. Notably, his engagements in the standardization of cleanroom technology include:
• Working Group "Cleanroom-Appropriate Design" and "Cleanroom-Appropriate Manufacturing"
• VDI Working Group VDI 2083 / Cleanroom Technology
• SEMI Standard Comites
• Working Group of DIN "Microsystems"
Joachim Ludwig has been married for nearly 30 years, is a father of three children, and a grandfather.
What did you want to become as a child?
I wanted to follow in my brother's footsteps and study physics.
What was your first car?
A Trabant 601 with 26 HP, in which I changed the cylinder head gasket every 300 km.
What do you look forward to?
Above all, I look forward to my grandson and, of course, my children as well.
Which achievement are you particularly proud of?
Building a company with 20 employees and leading it for almost 18 years so far.
Which technical achievement do you admire the most?
I admire all technical achievements based on simple principles.
Who would you like to swap places with for a month?
No one.
In which country would you like to have a second residence?
I don't need a second residence. I feel very comfortable in Thuringia.

As a professional book, "The Path to a Successful Entrepreneur" by Stefan Merath; as fiction, all books by Arnaldur Indridason.
What is your favorite food?
Indian cuisine.

German-language rock music with good, meaningful lyrics.
What was the best advice you ever received?
Trust yourself.
Do you have a motto?
Doing things differently than everyone else and thereby developing better solutions and high benefits.
