Frank Bürger
Frank Bürger was born in 1977 in Dresden and graduated in 2000 with a degree as a Dipl.-Ing. for Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in TGA.
During his industrial career as a "Contamination Control and Design Engineer" at Brooks Automation from 2001 to 2005, he was responsible for various projects on purity and developed customer-specific mini-environment systems, EFEMs, load ports, etc., for international clients in the semiconductor industry. In 2005, he moved to Fraunhofer IPA in the Department of Cleanroom and Microproduction. Since 2007, he has been responsible there as Key Account Manager for the Fraunhofer TESTED DEVICE® division. His areas of activity concerning purity also include: equipment design, manufacturing concepts for industrial production, material selection, and particle generation in vacuum.
He is actively involved in the guideline work of the VDI-2083 series (9.2; 16; 17), oversees the activities of Fraunhofer IPA on the topic of cleanroom-compatible materials (CSM), and has published contributions in book projects by Hüting and Springer publishers, as well as in other publications.
