Packaging and film manufacturer Bischof+Klein has doubled its clean room capacities. Production in the second class 5 at rest clean room complex in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14644-1 is due to start in February 2023. Then, the company will manufacture high-purity packaging and containment solutions for the pharmaceuticals and medical industry in completely encapsulated areas covering a total of around 5,000 m².

“We’ve made a strong decision,” says Jazek Emde, head of CleanFlex® sales. Demand for high-purity film and packaging solutions has soared in recent years. “Of course, the coronavirus pandemic also ‘boosted’ things. We exploited our capacities to the absolute maximum for the global vaccination campaigns.” Containment systems and sterilizable packaging for the vaccine industry are particularly in demand.

Clean room class 5 at rest in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14644-1 offers safe, low-particle, and low-germ production as well as seamless traceability from the granules to the finished product. The specially trained production and quality teams work closely together with the company’s in-house laboratory and testing facilities. “That ensures the best possible product quality for our customers,” says Jazek Emde.
