HARTER is a leading manufacturer of energy-efficient drying systems based in the Allgäu region of Germany and has been a specialist in exhaust air-free heat pump condensation drying for over 30 years. Our Airgenex® technology has proven itself in over 2,000 systems worldwide and is considered a reliable, validatable solution for highly sensitive drying processes in pharmaceutical and medical technology – especially in clean rooms and GMP-regulated areas.

The closed, exhaust air-free system ensures absolutely constant conditions, regardless of ambient air, temperature, or moisture input in clean rooms. Medical devices, components, active ingredients, intermediate stages, sterile packaging, or moisture-sensitive components can thus be dried safely, reproducibly, and gently—with complete process control and seamless documentation.

Our claim “We dry everything” shapes our engineering approach: In addition to standardized solutions, we develop customized special systems for particularly sensitive materials, complex geometries, or hygiene-critical applications. Stainless steel constructions, pharmaceutical-grade surfaces, special clean room air ducts, and integrated cooling processes are a matter of course. 

Our in-house technical center plays a crucial role. Here, we test every product and every process under realistic conditions—including clean room-like environments. We determine drying curves, process times, temperature and humidity profiles, and stability parameters, and ensure that the subsequent system is precisely tailored to the product and regulatory requirements. This test phase forms the basis for valid, qualifiable processes.

All systems are developed, manufactured, and implemented at our company location in Stiefenhofen, including our own control and regulation technology. We provide complete pharmaceutical-specific documentation such as DQ, IQ, OQ, FAT, and SAT—including all necessary measurement data. With our comprehensive after-sales service, we ensure long-term stable, safe, and GMP-compliant processes.

In addition to clean room, pharmaceutical, and medical technology applications, we also develop our energy-efficient drying solutions for the food industry, the chemical industry, surface and metal finishing, and sludge drying.
