Sumitomo (SHI) Demag roadshow přináší produktivitu na mapu
Something big is brewing in the next four months as it makes its way through Europe. Sumitomo (SHI) Demag presents its customers with a roadshow truck - a 20-meter-long mobile exhibition space featuring the latest technologies around injection molding, which will bring plastic processors the fastest route to increased productivity and higher profits.
On April 8, 2024, the 40-ton #NextStopProductivity truck will start its Europe tour from the company's headquarters in Schwaig. Over four months, in 14 countries, experts from each country will present their customers at each of the 25 stops with a fully electric IntElect2 injection molding machine. Some of the company's latest digital solutions that provide greater transparency in processing and higher machine availability will also be demonstrated.
As reasons for organizing this roadshow, CEO Gerd Liebig cites customer proximity: "Our first roadshow in 2024 means that manufacturers no longer have to commit to a trade fair. Instead, we bring processors, decision-makers, maintenance, and industry experts together at central locations in each country, where our local teams conduct customer events, presentations, and machine demonstrations. This roadshow approach means less effort for companies while still reaching more experts. A more convenient travel option for everyone," emphasizes Liebig.
The unique roadshow event will showcase exciting and profitable opportunities for optimizing production processes. Equipped with a 25-mm screw and a 2-cavity tool processing PP, visitors to the mobile exhibition can see the immediate efficiency benefits of the IntElect firsthand. HB-Therm provides the appropriate temperature control device with the Thermo-6 for the system. Users can then explore how to fully utilize the functions to repeatedly increase cycle times and produce even more parts at lower costs for their company and the environment.
"Optimizing productivity and improving total cost of ownership (TCO) are crucial for processors, especially in these challenging times. To become more competitive, well-informed and trained personnel are also needed. Our live demos will cover a range of topics to improve operational efficiency. These include minimizing machine downtime, increasing output, identifying the most efficient methods for processing recycled material, and leveraging the benefits of team engagement through training," Liebig continues.
The planned route includes Italy, Spain, and France. In May, the tour will visit Austria, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. Poland will host four consecutive events in early June, after which the truck will travel to the Netherlands, Belgium, and back through Germany and France. The last four events will take place in Ireland, Scotland, and the United Kingdom.
